Study and Grow

When you hit the books and pull an all night study session you can become very smart. This is usually when the short-term memory comes into play and does not work for long-term memory, but you can still learn a lot. It is best to study in the evening before you go to bed because studies show that if you study at this time you can actually remember more through your sleep and wake up with the information in your mind. It is not true that you can learn through osmosis, meaning putting a book under your head and letting the information sink in, it just does not work that way. If you are a medical student and are taking an anatomy class and need to learn about the spinal structures and nerve pain then you will ant to study this information over time. If you start a little bit and over time start to learn more and more then you will be able to have long term memory of the information. This will come in handy for those medial students because they will need that information when they are doctors. If you have a partner to review the books with you can practice repeating the information back and forth and this improves test scores and overall student performance.
